Epilation with intense pulsed light
IPL heats the roots of the hairs, which are located in the deeper layers of the skin, and thanks to this it destroys the follicles in the embryo before they can even grow to the surface. The result is perfectly smooth skin. The IPL method, which is performed by experienced doctors, can also be used to rejuvenate the skin, remove unwanted pigmentation or remove blood vessels.
For IPL treatment we use the Cellec V system. It works on the principle of broad-spectrum light discharge, so it differs from the laser in wavelength and reaches a larger area. It contains 9 interchangeable filters with wavelengths precisely designed for the specific problem and skin type. It uses 300 pulses per 1 minute, allowing for fast treatment.
How does the IPL treatment work?
During the initial consultation, the doctor will evaluate whether the intense pulsed light treatment is the ideal method for you and, if necessary, suggest the number of necessary repetitions. This is usually 4 or more sessions, during which time up to 85% of your hairs will be permanently removed and the new hairs will be lighter and finer
Before treatment:
Approximately 4 weeks prior to treatment, it is recommended to avoid direct sunlight and tanning beds or self-tanning creams. The skin should not be tanned or tattooed.
Also, do not wax or file the treated area beforehand, the hairs should be about 0.5 mm long at the time of IPL treatment.
Course of treatment:
As it is a non-invasive method, anaesthesia is not necessary. During the treatment, a special head uses intense light that hits the selected area and penetrates into the deeper layers of the skin.
Thanks to the fact that the Cellec V system used by us filters the light rays with absolute precision, the radiation does not damage the surrounding tissues. The treatment takes about 20-60 minutes.
After the treatment:
No recovery is necessary, at most there may be a slight redness of the skin or bruising, which will disappear within a few days. We recommend intensifying the use of moisturizing creams as part of the post-treatment care.
