Various skin protuberances are a common issue affecting people at every age. Some of the protuberances appear in connection with the aging process; others are affected by genetics or viral. The use of CO2 laser is an ideal solution to the permanent removal of these protuberances.

What skin protuberances may be removed using CO2 laser?

It is possible to remove various types of warts, including genital warts, soft fibromas, benign tumors of sweat glands, vitiligo, leukoplakia, papillomas, and diverse skin ulcers. We can also treat ingrown nails.

Removing skin growths

Before the procedure

Treatment using the Edge ONE device does not require any preparation. At a consultation, a physician assesses the type of protuberance. If the physician is not sure the protuberance is benign, they may recommend surgical removal.

The procedure

The treatment is usually performed under local anesthesia, which is administered using an injection or an anesthetic lotion. A physician starts to vaporize the protuberance using a laser. The treatment is several tens of minutes long, depending on the size and number of protuberances.

After the procedure

It is possible to return to everyday activities immediately. The treated area needs to be protected from sunlight, scratching, and rubbing. We do not recommend visiting saunas and solarium during the period of healing. The healing is approximately 2 weeks long.

Important information

One session is usually enough, a repetition might be necessary only in unique situations. After the protuberance falls off, a pink area remains on the skin. This area progressively fades. In most cases, the skin heals without any scars if proper post-operative care is followed.
