What is labioplasty
Using labioplasty, the plastic surgeon is able to reduce the labia minora or fill in the labia majora. If it is necessary to perform a simultaneous plastic surgery of the vaginal wall, then the operation is performed in cooperation with a gynecologist.
Labioplasty is a relatively simple operation that takes approximately 30 minutes and can be performed on an outpatient basis, i.e. without the need for general anaesthesia. It is usually performed without complications and has an immediate effect.

Before surgery
Before any aesthetic surgery, a consultation with a doctor is necessary to evaluate the specific problem and suggest a suitable solution. The treatment of the intimate parts is performed depending on the anatomy of the genital area. The doctor will explain the course of the procedure and the recovery.
Before the procedure, it is necessary to undergo a pre-operative examination, about 2 weeks before the procedure to discontinue drugs that increase bleeding.
The course of the operation
The operation is usually performed under local anaesthesia or analgosedation, but it can also be performed under general anaesthesia. During the procedure, the excess part of the labia minora is removed, the wound is sutured with absorbable sutures and closed with a sterile cover. The scars are located in the skin folds, so they will not be visible.
After the operation
In labioplasty we use absorbable sewing material, therefore no removal of stitches is necessary. The client is not severely restricted, we generally recommend only a 2-week restriction of sports activities. We recommend a sex life after about a month. It is very important to observe increased hygiene for 14 days.
Important information
Swelling may occur, which subsides after about a month. Labioplasty can be combined with other plastic surgery procedures such as abdominoplasty, vaginoplasty, or augmentation. It can only be performed after the age of 18.
