DHI hair transplantation

Our doctor, Andrea Mačejová, is the only specialist in the Czech Republic who performs the DHI method.

What are the differences between DHI and FUE? 

DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) - the method we use at ABClinic 

• After the grafts are removed, they are re-applied. However, unlike FUE, the application is done with a special pen.  
• Thanks to a special implant, the doctor is able to have complete control over the direction and angle of each graft.  
• The advantage of the DHI method is its speed - it takes about 6 hours to transplant 5,000 grafts.  
• Up to 95% of the transplanted hair is retained. 

What is shared between DHI and FUE methods? 

• Hair graft harvesting is essentially the same for both methods. A special instrument is used to remove a small round graft from the hair shaft.  
• The small scars that form during the procedure do not remain visible.  
• The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia. 

FUE (Follicular unit extraction) - a method used by other clinics 

• After the grafts are taken, the doctor uses a special scalpel to create tiny channels in the transplanted area of the head, into which the hair grafts are then inserted.  
• The transplantation of 5,000 grafts using the FUE method takes about 9 hours.  
• 50% of the transplanted hair is retained. 

Is it safe? Yes! 

• Only doctors perform the procedure.  
• All our doctors are trained by the London Hair Restoration Training Academy.  
• Our doctor MUDr. Andrea Mačejová is the only doctor in the Czech Republic who performs DHI hair transplantation.  
• The patented needles used for the procedure are disposable. 

Is it permanent? Yes! 

• More than 95% of hair grafts transplanted using the DHI method take hold and survive, while the average for other methods is 50%.  
• Thus, the effectiveness of DHI is by far the highest of the methods used worldwide.  
• Transplanted hair continues to grow throughout life.  
• The full result is seen after 12 months, but hair growth is noticeable after only 2 months. 

Does the result look natural? Yes! 

• We fully control the depth and angle of each transplanted graft, so the result is convincingly natural.  
• The density of the transplantation is done in such a way that the result looks as natural as possible. 

Is DHI technology the best on the market? Yes! 

• FUE and FUT technologies are outdated. In addition, the FUT method requires tissue excision. They have been replaced by the more advanced and less invasive DHI technology.  
• The technology is constantly being improved. The new device extracts more hair at a time and healing is faster. 

Are DHI procedures subject to supervision? Yes! 

• All clinics worldwide that perform DHI hair transplants must follow standard operating procedures. 
• Every doctor who performs a DHI hair transplant must be trained and certified by the London Hair Restoration Training Academy. 

Is the procedure painful? No! 

• The procedure is minimally invasive, using tiny disposable needles with a diameter of 1 mm or less. 
• The procedure is performed under local anaesthetic. The patient is fully conscious and can watch TV, listen to music or take a nap. 

Does it cause much interference with normal life? No! 

• The patient can return to work the next day. 
• A full head shave is usually not needed. 
• The procedure does not require long-term medication. 

Is a diagnosis necessary? Yes! 

• A dermatological examination will determine the type of alopecia and the circumstances that will be taken into account during treatment.  
• An alopecia test will evaluate the extent of the problem and the amount of hair suitable for transplantation.  
• DNA analysis will indicate the prognosis. 
• Stress analysis will determine the appropriate therapy. 

Does DHI help with prevention? Yes! 

• We stimulate and regenerate your hair with Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP): highly regenerative plasma is extracted from a small sample of blood and applied to strengthen the follicles and nourish the scalp. 
• DHI has developed a range of daily cosmetics from shampoo and conditioner to an antioxidant solution to strengthen hair and promote hair growth.
