About me
MUDr. Matěj Patzelt is a plastic surgeon currently working at Plastic Surgery Clinic of University Hospital Vinohrady, Prague, where he performs a broad range of procedures, such as hand surgery, covering defects, breast surgery, or surgery of congenital anomalies, and he is also skilled in microsurgical techniques for reconstructions and replantations. He is also an expert in a new type of facelift in the Czech Republic – the Deep Plane Facelift, which he learned in Paris from plastic surgery specialist Dr. Marchac. This type of facelift differs from the classic one in that it works with much deeper facial tissues, making the results more impressive and longer-lasting.
However, MUDr. Patzelt specializes mostly in breast surgery, including breast reconstruction after breast removal or preventive breast removal for genetic mutations (BRCA, PALB2) and correction of asymmetries caused by surgery or developmental defects. Within aesthetic medicine, he specializes in breast augmentation and body contouring, the so-called abdominoplasty, liposuction, and post-bariatric surgery.
He also worked at Transplantation Surgery Department at IKEM, Prague. He has been a member of the academic senate of the Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague, since 2013, and has been a Lecturer of Student Scientific Activity at the same institution since 2015. MUDr. Matěj Patzelt attended several foreign educational stays; in Taiwan, Mexico, Kenya, Hungary, and Bulgaria, for example.
