What does abdominoplasty solve?
During the tummy tuck, the separated muscles in the abdominal area are strengthened, and excess skin with subcutaneous fat is removed, achieving a renewed tightening and flatness of the abdomen. This procedure also reduces stretch marks and, in particular, halts the process of abdominal wall loosening. The entire surgical procedure is performed under general anesthesia and typically takes 2–3 hours. The recovery time after the operation is around 4 weeks. It is important to note that the effects of the operation are long-lasting, and if there is no significant change in weight in the future, there is no need to undergo the procedure again.
You can also opt for a mini-abdominoplasty, in which we operate on the area from the navel down. In this case you can also combine the procedure with abdomen liposuction.
Classic abdominoplasty - it is suitable if you are bothered by a large amount of excess fat. The surgeon guides the incision up near the abdomen from side to side, removes the excess skin and fat, adjusts or sutures the abdominal wall muscles to make them tighter, and moves the belly button to its new position.
Miniabdominoplasty - Choose if you want to remove excess fat and sagging skin in the lower abdomen, not around the belly button. Its position does not change during a mini-abdominoplasty. This procedure will help you to firm up the muscles of the lower abdomen.
Before and after
How is abdominoplasty performed?
Before the procedure
Prior to your tummy tuck, a consultation with our plastic surgeon, who has decades of experience, is required to select the most appropriate type of tummy tuck for you. This is performed under general anesthesia.
During the procedure
The surgery can take 2-3 hours.
After the procedure
The surgery requires a short-term hospital stay. After 2 weeks, you can do normal work and after 4 weeks you can start playing sports.
Words of our clients
I went to the doctor with a big overhang on my abdomen after giving birth. I had been planning the procedure for a long time and regretted putting it off. The doctor played with my tummy, which is visible in the beautiful result. The recovery is good too, the pain is manageable. Renata
