IPL treatment is a non-invasive treatment method designed to treat numerous skin conditions. It has an effect within the deep layers of the skin where blood vessels, pigment cells, and collagen fibers are stored. It is used to rejuvenate the skin, remove undesirable pigmentations, blood vessels, and prevent hair growth. The treatment is almost painless.

What is a Cellec V system

A unique Cellec V system by Jeisys is endowed with 9 replaceable filters with a wavelength designed precisely for a particular condition and skin type. It is targeted at vascular lesions, pigment spots, acne, and hair follicles.

The system is based on the principle of a broad-spectrum light source and therefore has different wavelengths than a laser. Compared with laser, it also affects a broader area.

Who is a suitable candidate for this procedure

Pulsed light is suitable for persons suffering from pigment spots, acne, acne scars, rosacea, stretch marks, and vascular lesions. Pulsed light may also prevent hair growth. It is possible to treat the face, neck, chest, back, and limbs.

Intense Pulsed Light treatment (IPL)

Before the procedure

A physician assesses if the pulsed light is an appropriate method for the given condition and recommends the number of repetitions. There are usually 4 or more sessions. We recommend avoiding direct sunlight, solarium, and self-tanning lotions for approximately 4 weeks before the procedure. If the aim is to prevent hair growth, the skin should not be depilated with wax or any device. The hair should be approximately 0,5 mm long by the time of the treatment.

The procedure

IPL is a non-invasive method. There is no need for anesthesia. A special head uses pulsed light to treat a chosen area, where the light penetrates the deep layers of the skin. The Cellec V system precisely filters the rays of light, and therefore the radiation does not damage the surrounding tissues. The treatment is approximately 20 to 60 minutes long.

After the procedure

A slight reddening of the skin may appear after the treatment. It is possible to return to everyday activities immediately. It is necessary to avoid direct sunlight and to protect the treated area using a lotion with high SPF for 6 weeks.

Important information

The results of this treatment are long-lasting. However, is it necessary to remember they do not prevent other signs of aging. This method may be repeated at any time following a consultation with a physician. In the case of hair removal, up to 85% of newly grown hair is removed; it is lighter and softer. Vascular lesions and pigment spots are removed permanently.
