Frenuloplasty
Frenuloplasty is most often performed when the frenulum is shortened (frenulum breve), which causes difficulties especially during erection - pain and the formation of repeated tears accompanied by bleeding.

Before surgery
Before any procedure, a consultation with a physician is necessary to assess the condition of the problem and whether frenuloplasty will need to be combined with a circuloplasty (i.e. a procedure for a narrowed foreskin).
The course of the operation
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, general anaesthesia is also available on request. The procedure time is approximately 15 minutes.
During the procedure, the frenulum is transversely intersected and then longitudinally reconstructed with fine absorbable sutures. The frenulum is thus lengthened. The scar is minimal and the cosmetic and functional effect is very favourable.
After the operation
Immediately after the procedure, the client may experience mild penile soreness and swelling may occur. On the day of the procedure, it is advisable to rest, and in the following days it is recommended to avoid major physical or sporting activity. Swelling and soreness will subside within a few days. Sexual abstinence is recommended until full healing of the wound, which will occur in 3-4 weeks.
Important information
During the recovery period until the wound is fully healed, the foreskin should be retracted towards the root of the penis every day to prevent scar tissue and re-shortening of the foreskin.
