What is a breast lift?
Mastopexy is a plastic surgery of the breasts in which the breast areolae are lifted to the correct position, or the volume of the mammary gland is added or reduced. As a result, the breasts are elevated and tightened, and a beautiful shape is achieved.
The lift is suitable for women who suffer from asymmetry or sagging breasts. For breast augmentation, your own fat or implants can be used.

How is breast lift performed?
Many women postpone breast lift because they are afraid of the scar that will be left after a breast surgery. There are several techniques for making the incision.
Breast Lift with an anchor incision
This is the most common breast lift surgery performed. It is performed when there is a large degree of breast sagging (ptosis) or when a large breast reduction is needed. It is often combined with augmentation using silicone implants.
Single Scar / Lollipop Lift / LeJour method
This procedure has the advantage of only one visible scar and the possibility of maintaining breastfeeding. It is suitable for women with smaller breasts or moderate sagging, and without implants.
Round block / Doughnut Lift
Using this method, the surgeon will make an incision around the areolas only and remove a small amount of excess skin. The breast shape will be repositioned into a perky youthful appearance, and the scarring will be minimal.
The specific technique will be decided by your doctor during your personal consultation. Not only the shape and size of the breasts, but also the degree of sagging, the quality and structure of the mammary gland and the quality and elasticity of the skin play a major role.
How does the procedure work?
Before the procedure
- Before the surgery, you will meet with our plastic surgeon who will recommend a surgical technique that is tailored to your exact disposition and type of problem.
- You will also need to undergo a mammogram and breast ultrasound.
- Breast lift is always performed under general anesthesia, so a pre-operative examination is also essential.
During the procedure
The surgery takes 1-2 hours under general anesthesia.
After the procedure
After the procedure, you will be hospitalized in our clinic for 1-2 days and after a week you can perform your normal office-style work.
