MUDr. Róbert Novotný is a certified vascular surgeon. He has acquired a Ph.D. degree in experimental surgery, is a member of two international associations (ICS and ESSR) and several Czech associations. Following university, he started at the Second Surgical Clinic of Cardiovascular Surgery as a vascular surgeon, then transferred to the Transplantation Surgery Department of the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine where he has been working as a vascular and transplant surgeon ever since.

He also specializes in surgery for varices – he has been performing them for 7 years.
