Surely every woman and man dreams of having a youthful face. That’s why people try to keep or recapture their youthful looks with all sorts of techniques. One of these is called a thread lift, which can tighten the contours of the face, smooth out wrinkles and make the skin firmer without surgical intervention or general anesthesia.
A thread lift is an excellent way of reducing wrinkles and tightening the contours of the face. Generally speaking, aesthetic surgery uses three basic types of thread. The first type is thin, absorbable thread often called mesothread. The goal is not to lift the face, but to stimulate collagen production. The other two types of thread lift the face (or part of the face) and hold it in place for a time. These threads are Silhouette Soft, an absorbable, PDO (polydioxane) or PLA (polylactic acid) based thread that can stimulate collagen production, and Silhouette Lift, a non-absorbable thread that also has “cones” that stimulate the subcutaneous structures. The benefit of absorbable threads is relatively easy and fast application, while the drawback is the relatively short duration of their results. They are used for the whole face, neck and eyebrows. Non-absorbable threads, which we use to lift the middle part of the face or buttocks, have the advantage of long-term effect and possibility of “tightening.” The disadvantage is that they require a two-centimeter incision under the hairline at the ears.
At ABClinic Art & Beauty your thread lift will be performed by an experienced physician certified in aesthetic medicine. If you decide to visit ABClinic Art & Beauty for a thread lift from another country, you can have the first consultation based on photographs or online.
Thread lift is suitable for clients with mild to moderate sagging in the face and no excess skin tissue, which would have to be surgically removed. Please consult with our plastic surgeon if you are not sure whether thread lift is a suitable procedure for you.
