Breast reconstruction is designed for patients who have had all or part of a breast removed due to breast cancer. Women often find this experience deeply traumatizing, and breast reconstruction presents a solution. Breast reconstruction without implants uses the patient’s own tissue (skin, subcutaneous tissue or muscle) to form the new breast.

OPTIONS FOR RECONSTRUCTION
Options for breast reconstruction depend primarily on previous surgery on the breast. The breast may have been removed completely, including the skin, or some breast tissue may remain. Sometimes the whole mammary gland has to be removed, but the nipple and areola remain.
Breast reconstruction can be performed at the same time as removing the tumor or some time after completing treatment. Preventive mastectomy and simultaneous breast reconstruction is often performed for women with a genetic predisposition to breast cancer. Please keep in mind that breast reconstruction takes place in multiple stages; usually the breast itself is formed first, followed by the areola and finally the nipple.
After mastectomy due to a tumor, breast reconstruction is usually covered by health insurance. The final price of the operation will be set after a personal consultation with a doctor at our clinic. The prices given in our price list are for the purposes of orientation only.
